How does the ingredient?
The fludrocortisone has been approved to replace missing hormones in loss of hormone production in the adrenal glands (eg for Addison's disease or syndrome androgenitalen and short-term treatment of low blood pressure.
The Addison's disease is caused by decreased or absent hormone production in the adrenal cortex. Typical symptoms include fatigue, general exhaustion, weight loss, a dark discoloration of the skin, low blood pressure with a tendency to collapse conditions, and gastrointestinal complaints.
A large group of inborn errors of metabolism of the adrenal glands is summarized under the term androgenitales syndrome. In most subtypes creates a lack of cortisone and aldosterone, while an overproduction of male sex hormones called androgens.
Girl with androgenitalem syndrome at birth, already show a visible masculinization of their external sexual organs, while boys often only a premature onset of puberty is noted. When the drug is not) suitable for you (if I overdose?
* Hypersensitivity to fludrocortisone, or any other component of the product, it should not be taken.
* For all diseases associated with an increased accumulation of Bindegewebswasser (edema), such as heart failure, persistent renal dysfunction or liver cirrhosis;
* High blood pressure (hypertension);
* Low Bludruck due to a lack of volume or circulatory shock;
* Potassium deficiency (hypokalemia);

Pregnancy and Lactation
* During pregnancy, the doctor must perform adjust the dose of the drug (increase), and frequent checks of blood pressure and blood minerals. Interaction
Drugs that may increase a potassium deficiency are: water resources of the type of driving saluretics, digitalis, and laxatives.
Glycyrrhizinhaltige for the treatment of gastrointestinal ulcers and non-steroidal anti-Rheumatika (NSAIDs) increase the effect of fludrocortisone and may enhance edema, potassium deficiency and hypertension.
The drug can amplify its own initiative or to reduce the effect of other drugs. Keep always consult with their doctor or pharmacist if you are taking other medications.
