Effective dose:
15-45 mg / day.
Start with 15 mg (half tablet) / day or 30 mg / day.
In general, mirtazapine starts 1-2 weeks to work after treatment. Treatment with an appropriate dose should achieve a positive response in 2-4 weeks. If the effect is insufficient, may be increased to the maximum dose, but if there is no response within 2-4 weeks, treatment should be discontinued.
The dose may be taken once a day. It should preferably be a single dose in the evening before bed. At the maximum dose of 45 mg (1.5 tablets) / day, it can also be administered in two doses (one in the morning and evening, should the higher dose should be taken in the evening)
This drug takes some time until it does.
If you take this medicine for a long time, you should not stop abruptly, without consulting your doctor.
This medicine may cause drowsiness and affect your reflexes, so we advise you to be cautious when driving or operating machinery.
