Tram(a)dol  tablets 50 mg

To treat moderate to severe pain, acute or chronic pain such as after surgery, trauma or cancer.

Active ingredient: Tram(a)dol 50 mg / tablet

Contraindications:
    * Hypersensitivity to any component of the Tram(a)dol BEXAL capsules or other opiates.
    * Acute intoxication with alcohol, sleeping pills, painkillers or other drugs that affect the central nervous system (CNS).
    * Patients with monoamine oxidase inhibitors
    * Patients with severe liver dysfunction.
    * Patients with severe renal insufficiency.
    * Patients with uncontrolled epilepsy.

Precautions:
Tram(a)dol BEXAL capsules should be used with caution in patients:

    * With head injury or increased intracranial pressure (eg after an accident).
    * With an excessive bronchial secretions.
    * In patients prone to convulsive disorders or in shock.
    * Suffering from respiratory depression, with the simultaneous use of drugs a dampening effect on the central nervous system (CNS) have.

The risk of dependence of Tram(a)dol is limited, are not excluded.

Interactions:
Concomitant administration of Tram(a)dol with painkillers, alcohol and other drugs with central depressive effect of an increase of sleepiness possible.
Simultaneous administration of carbamazepine, an epilepsy drug reduced significantly the analgesic efficacy of Tram(a)dol.
Concomitant use of morphine derivatives (eg buprenorphine, nalbuphine, pentazocine) may also affect the effect of Tram(a)dol.
Concomitant administration with ritonavir, the effect of
Tram(a)dol interfere.
Concomitant use with digoxin may be the effect of
Affect digoxin.


Notes:
Pregnancy and Lactation
During pregnancy or potential pregnancy should not use Tram(a)dol.

Impact on the ability to drive and use machines:
Tram(a)dol may influence the ability to drive and use machines and lead to slow the reaction.

Dosage:
It is administered orally.
The daily dose of Tram(a)dol should be adjusted by your doctor according to the severity of the pain and the sensitivity of the patient. These doses should be respected.

Adults and children over 12:
The usual daily dose is 50-100 mg (1-2 capsules) of Tram(a)dol, 3-4 times daily. In children 12 to 14 years, we recommend using the lower dose (1 capsule 3-4 times daily).
This should normally not exceed a total daily dose of 400 mg (eight capsules).
The capsules should be swallowed with water without sucking or chewing.

Do not use in children under 12 years: recommended.

Tell your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems.
For patients with severe liver or kidney failure, using the usual starting dose should be doubled, but the interval between the other doses.

The duration of treatment depends on their conditions and should be determined by the physician.

Side effects:
During treatment with Tram(a)dol side effects are possible:
Dizziness, vomiting, indigestion, constipation, fatigue, weakness, drowsiness, dizziness, itching, sweating, dry mouth, headache, feeling of sadness, difficulty breathing (rare), difficulty urinating, blurred vision and occasional elevations in liver enzymes.

Rarely has hives, constriction of the passage of air observed in the lungs, swelling under the skin, changes in heart rate, sudden drop in blood pressure when standing up too fast, too high blood pressure, flushing, loss of consciousness or shock.
